1. How will PLT deliver my course materials?
All courses will be available online to view but you may download to your won computer as well.
To View online material you will need Flash player and to read the
downloaded material you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader. The downloaded
course material will be available to view for as long as you leave
the file on your computer and can later be used as reference material.
You do not need to be on-line to view the course material. If you
do not have a copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader you can download it for
free by clicking
here and following Adobe's installation instructions and if you
don’t have a copy of flash paper
click here to download a free copy.
2. Do I have to take an exam?
After you've completed the PLT course material, you will need to take
the Final Exam. Once you are satisfied with your answers you will submit
the exam electronically. You will be notified immediately of your
results. To obtain continuing education credit for
taking the course, you must complete and pass the examination with
a score of 70% or better.
3. Is PLT an approved course provider?
Yes, PLT is an approved continuing education provider in California. Our Department of Insurance provider # is 182831.
4. How is the Department of Insurance notified?
We will notify the DOI of your course completion and the
number of CE credits earned at the end of everyday.
5. Where do I view my courses?
Once you have signed up as a PLT for Continuing Education student,
you can view all of the courses you have signed up for by logging
on with your username and password on the navigation bar. You will
be able to view the status of each class and the credits you will
receive for them.
6. How long do I have to complete the course?
Courses generally must be completed within 3 months of the date of
purchase. If you are not able to do so, please click here of contact
us at support@PreLicenseTraining.com for an extension or signup for an extension on the returning students page.
7. Is there a return policy?
Due to the nature of online training courses we do not offer refunds once you have logged into the system. If you have not logged into the system you may request a full refund minus a $25 non refundable processing fee by sending an email request to support@PreLicenseTraining.com. Email requests for refunds must be received within the first 72 hours of registration . No refunds are available after 72 hours from the time of your online registration whether or not you have logged into the system.
8. How does grading work?
You must attain a passing grade of at least 70% to obtain the credit
hours. You will be notified immediately of the status of your exam.
If you pass your exam you will be able to print a certificate of completion
directly from your computer. If you fail, you may retake the exam.
9. What are the advantages to using PLT?
PLT helps you save time by providing the continuing education classes
you need 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Our courses are a fraction
of the cost of traditional correspondence classes. You are able to
retain the course material in a readily accessible format that allows
for quick and easy searches giving you an excellent reference source.
Using PLT's broad range of interesting topics allows you to gain the
most from your continuing education experience.
10. How do I know how many credit hours a PLT course will
receive?
Go to our available courses link to view the list of all of our courses with
the credit hours clearly displayed.
11. What states does PLT offer classes for?
Currently PLT offers classes for California.
12. How do I print my course?
Once you are viewing the course material in Adobe Acrobat Reader simply
click on the printer icon. If you wish to only print select pages
you may do so by indicating them in the print pop up box.
13. Does PLT offer volume discounts?
Yes! PLT has discount pricing for volume purchases. Contact us at
support@prelicenetraining.com for details.
14. Can I purchase courses for more than one person?
PLT offers companies the ability to purchase courses for multiple
individuals and pay with a single credit card transaction. Please
contact us at support@prelicensetraining.com to make those arrangements.
15. How do I order PLT courses?
You can order directly from our web site (www.prelicensetraining.com/CD)
by clicking the signup button. Follow the simple 3-step ordering process
and you will be on your way to continuing education credits. We accept:
MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express and Paypal.
16. Is it safe to order online?
Your personal information is transmitted to a secure server. Your
information is encrypted and cannot be retrieved by anyone other than
